Having survived winter storm Uri (half of it melted in the cold) and the hottest summer on record in Austin 2 years ago, my 10 year old San Pedro cactus finally bloomed Tuesday night! The buds started forming in May and took about 2 months to open. So proud of this plant – he's been a survivor from the beginning. Next year he may find a permanent home in the ground.

Wow thats awesome. Does it always live outside in the winter? Is it in full sun?

Beautiful! I had to chop mine up and start over so many times because of freeze damage and cresting after growing normally for 3 feet.
