  1. The nice thing about a diverse garden is that even if some things fail, others likely won't and can make up for the stuff that didn't work out. Also sucks that Tuck isn't around anymore, he was great, but I'm already looking forward to the next pup!

  2. ❤❤❤ for Tuck. I started my garden again after 4 years. My garden's production has really struggled this year. I live in zone 8b in deep south AL, so it gets hot & humid early & for several months. My peppers & eggplants stalled out. My cucumbers and scallop squash were wiped out by pickle worms. My beans have bean leaf rollers. I've never seen either of those pests before! I'm learning something new every day. This video was a timely lesson for me because I've been feeling a bit defeated. I'm learning to succession plant & I'm planting a fall garden for the first time. Thank you!! P.S. Jim Rohn is one of my faves, too!!

  3. A suggestion for yr new garden space for the slopes between yr terraces to stabilise the ground and create separation. COMFREY, whoch you can propagate yrself each.

  4. I live in a region of bitterly cold long winters …. BUT, the growing season is generally rather very pleasant moderate of temperature and seldom is high humidity much of an issue … sooo, I can very often be outside for the ENTIRE day toiling away under the sun without much issue, sure it can be hot at times, though as long as a breeze is blowing it often still remains pleasant! I DO NOT envy those with HOT STICKY summers, it vastly reduces the time and enjoyment of being outside and tremendously zaps one's physical productivity as you feel HOT STICKY ICKY!!

  5. This sums up my reason for gardening, its the journey for me, trial and errors, the lessons learned, the excitement you get when you do succeed…

Short story, it took me 4 season of failing before I got my first tomatoes, i got to harvest and guess what i literally gave them away to family and friends… after failing 4 times then finally correcting my mistakes and succeeding is why i love gardening…Also experimenting to see what works best in the environment i live in…

  6. Perspective is all what we need right now. To know that not everything is doing as well as usual for you is actually SO valuable because if even experienced gardeners like you have challenges, then ours are ok! We too can concentrate on what's going well. Like many others, my heart's filled with all sorts of emotions seeing the young King. All of us who have been able to share our garden with our animal friends are truly lucky people!

  7. Thank you for this video. It was exactly what I needed. I am a new widow and I opted not to have a garden this year. I was too sad. It was too hard. Gardening was something we did together. Now the garden sits unkept, nothing but weeds and a few leftover potatoes from last year. You have motivated me to get back out there. You miss Tuck but find joy in the memories. I can do the same. Thank you

  8. Love your reminder of not feeling defeated by summer heatwaves, bugs and more, thanks.
I am in the South of France, South faced mountain garden with my beloved plants struggling despite the sun covers.
I however feel very alive when tending the garden during my morning walks. Will indeed get things prepared for autumn, when nature cools down.

  9. I’m glad you acknowledged Tuck. Was wondering. Been a long bit since we saw you all . Appreciate all the reassurance you nurture as things heat up. Bon Appetite.❤😊🌱🍀🌿yes to life happening For us.

  10. You are the best!!! You lift us up and we are sticking with you and feel like you are apart of our family. We love and miss tuck and I love when you include clips of him in your videos. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ You are speaking to our hearts 💕 I hope you understand your truth and honesty only make you more precious to us! Thank you so much 🙏🏽🌿

  11. Gardening is an optimistic activity. Many good things and no bad thing need to happen in order to get any crop at all, so it's good for the morale. For me gardening is the only form of exercising that I tolerate, I'm much healthier because of it. Gardening is also a hobby, and it very nicely complements my full time job in an office (which I also enjoy). Finally, the taste of my tomatoes and herb is exquisite, much better than anything money can buy around here.

  12. The garden is your best friend ,treat it as such . The garden is overjoyed with your presence and attention , it aligns with your Aura and will reward you .. Tuck taught you that 🤗
which is why you probably need another companion gardener.. My cat is my best companion gardener . Animals have a way of teaching you how share that Aura , within the garden 🥳

  13. ❤ for Tuck ❤ ( I needed to see this video. I transformed my.backyard, I wake up happy for the first time in so many years, but it is mid-July and hot, and the deer have eaten everything. But yes! Lesson learned! I built a deer fence today.

  14. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤i absolutely loved tuck and his light and smiles in the videos! And being able to have memories with such a bright soul is a true blessing. I know it wasnt easy but to see you smile while talking about him just shows us how special your bond with him was. When you harvest i can almost see his light running up to you to see what you got! 😊 tuck and james forever ❤❤❤❤❤
