  7. Massive-Fortune-3930

It’s better than any other addiction out there

  8. I started just over a month and a half ago with a pot of a mix of succulents/cactus, that I had to obviously repot. Fast forward to today: I’m currently 22 deep, with 10 propagates 4 of which are doing beautifully.

Why would you ever stop? Don’t you want your house to look like a jungle? It’s a completely worthy cause

Hey, so can we get into that mirror for a sec? I love it and now don’t know who I am anymore. It’s everything I’m not but maybe I can change…?

  12. Definitely can’t help you with rationalizing it. But like others have said, I see plenty of room for more. I’m a certified patio plant hoarder.

  13. Are you having to rationalize it to yourself or someone else? Because the reasons then are completely different

  14. gaggleofllama

I have some cuttings I’ve just planted going free if you don’t want to pay?

  15. PretentiousPepperoni

I started 3 months ago and now I have close to 70 plants.

If you need more justification then we like to say we’re a plant sanctuary and are elevating our air purifying game.

  17. Equivalent_Sound_98

I want to know what sticks in pots do 😂

  18. russie_eh

Where did you get your grow light? Google Lens isn’t being very helpful!

  19. Angelique718

    Keep buying 🪴💚 I have 94 and counting 🤣

  20. Deep_Picture6111

  21. MyMuleIsHalfAnAss

I bought 6 this weekend! 6!! I have over 75 plants and 3 citrus trees in a one bedroom apartment. I know I have a problem, I admit I have a problem but who’s it harming?

  22. Ill_Contact_8244

Well… I went from 3 plants to 20 in the past 2 months and purchased more today (including a 4 in one), I can’t help but i can recommend a great group on here to find some neat plants and good deals? 🫣

lol once they start dying uncontrollably, itll slow you down haha. I went crazy with houseplants when I first fell in love with plants. Atleast 6 months of constantly buying plants. I had a few favorites. But a lot that I bought on impulse. Spider mites hit like a hurricane. Killed a few off, after that I focused on getting my nutrients right, and watering right, just trying to catch up, and make sure they’re all fully healthy before buying another lol now I have tons again. Except this time Ive kept control of it all. And theyre all thriving including a bird of paradise with some HUGE new leaves:)

Whenever my mom comments on how many plants I have, I remind her I could be addicted to worse things

  25. NoorInayaS

Hahah! Can’t help you there, as I’m currently in a situation where I know I have no more logical space to put plants, so am now looking at illogical spaces to put more plants. 🤪🤪

  26. ima_blue_rebel

100% some (other) type of monstera. some might think they’re basic, but i think that they tell a story of growth and patience, more than any other plant because you can always remember what a monstera looked like when it was a baby. best of luck on your journey!

  27. DizzyFly9339

That alocasia is gonna break your heart. This will either make you swear off buying plants for a while, or you’ll become obsessed with growing that one species successfully and you’ll keep buying new ones when they drop all their leaves and go dormant

(pro-tip: an alocasia with no leaves and no roots is still alive as long as the bulb isn’t rotten. So don’t throw them out when they “die,” just keep them in a warm and super humid environment and they’ll grow back!)

ps I currently have 80 plants in an 800sqft apartment and it’s not nearly enough, so I can’t help you with the problem you came here with

  28. contentedzues

Help you? You need help carrying more? I’m cool with helping carry more plants

  29. DivisionaryEra

No advice found. Bought 3 more plants :/
