FINALLY!!

I don’t know what it is about this potted crepe myrtle (that I baby) but it has finally flowered!! It has volunteers planted at my MIL’s house that started blooming last month – but this guy in the pot always seems later to the party.

Well…better later than never.

As for the current 2-year old volunteer, I don’t know if I’ll get flowers out of it this year or not. It’s bonsai-ing nicely, though, and each subsequent trimming is giving me smaller and smaller leaves. Hoping to eventually get small flower groupings from it.
