The answers from the wood chips. I want all the rain and something else on there with them. Go get your ladybug friends, baby. I grew these in my backyard, y’all. [Music] Hello. Welcome to Yellow Door Urban Homestead. I am Asia and I’m a urban gardener growing in a small space out in my backyard. And today we have our sleeves on. I also have on a tank top. It’s a little warm, but it’s not like super hot. But we have our sleeves on because we’re going to do a harvest. Someone left me a message and they said, “I wonder why you don’t show us the tomatoes when they start to ripen or when they turn colors.” So, we going to harvest together. I don’t want y’all to think I’m out here growing green tomatoes that never blush. I’m just joking. But yeah, I know I do not show harvest often because it’s hot, y’all. It’s hot. I be fighting the ants. I fight the mosquitoes. I fight all of that stuff and the heat. But it does make sense if I am showing y’all what I’m growing. I should absolutely be showing y’all what I’m harvesting, right? So, I we have a lot of rain coming. That’s going to be number one. And I already have tomatoes that have split. So, I know the black beauties are splitting. And I was trying to leave them as long as I could because I want them to get black, but they are splitting and I don’t want to leave them and then not be able to eat them at all. So, we are going to harvest those black beauties. We have some black beauties over here that’s also uh blushes. So, we’re going to get those. have my sleeves on because I know I saw peppers and the ants is taking me out. I’m gonna go through next week though and like just run my hand my gloved hand across like all of the peppers where I’m seeing aphids to try to kill them off and then continue to spray with water because oh my goodness the aphids are absolutely everywhere on those plants that I told y’all about in the last garden tour. By the way, we are gonna finish the other side of the yard, but like today I started seeds, which I could not start them with y’all. My neighbor had her music on and you know, she’s entitled to that, but I really had to get that done. And so I went ahead and started there. But I will tell you what I started for fall. This is my first round of fall plants. But today, today we’re going to harvest and we’re going to harvest together. So we’re going to start right here. We’re going to start right here. We have a few that’s blushing, but I’m going to show you what I mean when I say they’re splitting. They’re not all splitting. Of course, they’re not all splitting, but we have like days of rain coming. And I don’t think it’s going to be like the soft rain, the good rain for a garden. Well, I mean, all rain is good, but you got rain that comes down really fast in a big amount. And so, those will cause your tomatoes to split because the water is coming so fast and so quick. So, I’m pulling these. Lord, I almost fell y’all. So, see right here at the top, it’s a little bit of cracking at the top, but the tomato has already started blushing. So, I could take this in the house and let it ripen on the counter and it’ll be just fine. This one has also started to blush. So, I could let that ripen on the counter, too. So, we got two. These are black beauties. Again, I was waiting because I wanted to see if they got really black cuz y’all told me if I put the plant in the sun that I would it would be a black uh tomato. But, I don’t I can’t do that this time. Oh, there’s another one over there, too, that’s ripening. Let me grab it. This one right here is also ripening. Baby, I do believe that’s about to be a a um a lawnmower. Or maybe it’s a motorcycle. It don’t really sound like a lawnmower. Okay, here’s a motorcycle. I was about to say we ain’t going to never get to harvest nothing together, y’all. All right, let’s just move on. I see a tomato on this green stock. We have quite a few that we need to get. Um I see on the green stock. We also have beans that we need to get on some of the green stocks. So yeah, let’s just keep moving. So this is a patio variety. I think they’re about to be done if was my other neighbor. Anyway, what I was saying is this is a patio variety. I got these from my local uh feed and seed store. And I think these tomatoes are just about done in the green stalks, but I have other tomatoes that I can replace them with. But anyway, we got us another one. I have tasted these. They’re okay, but I’m also putting them in the freezer with the other red tomatoes cuz I’m going to use these to make sauces later on in the year. Since we over here, we might as well look. You can see that some of the beans are starting to uh send out flowers again now that it’s cooled down. These tomatoes are still uh green. So, let’s turn the green stock. We got some beans in there. See some beans right here. These are yellow beans. I do not know exactly which ones they are. I ended up getting two varieties and then I did not make sure that I kept them labeled when I planted them out. So, this is our first wave of beans that we put in here. It’s giving another blushing. So, you know how I said I was surprised that the beans were still like looking good. They normally don’t. And so, they since they do, I’m not pulling them out. So, I was going to do a second round of beans this year, but I might not have to cuz they’re still producing. So, I’m excited about that. Y’all want to know something? I dug down into these potatoes. It’s at the top of this. This potato is growing. I’m excited. And I wasn’t even anywhere near the bottom of the Uh-oh. Sorry, y’all. I wasn’t anywhere near the bottom of this green stock level. So, I’m very, very excited. So, we going to see. Uh, it’s not all dead. They’re dying. So, it might be a little while before we see, but I’m excited. But, let’s see if there’s anything else on this green stock. This ntorium look terrible, y’all. Looks terrible. Oh, there goes some more beans. Nice. And again, these are same plants that I planted in here earlier this year. So, I’m excited about that. We could probably take some of this basil, but I’m going to wait on that just because Oh, here goes some more. Just because I don’t um I’m not going to make nothing or do nothing with it right now. It can grow a little bit longer. Some more beans up here. All right. All right. Now, harvest. I should definitely put y’all on the uh tripod, but uh maybe in a minute. Oh my god, y’all see all them ants in there, too. Got to be some aphids in there somewhere. But that’s why I got my sleeves on today, cuz man, these ants ain’t no joke. No joke. Someone mentioned that they like that I had wood chips in the walkway. These ants are because of these wood chips. So, if it’s something that you thinking about, like any year previous to now, I have had ants, but nothing like this, and they were mostly in the greenhouse. The the the ants that I’m having an issue with this year are these wood chips. So, just think about that. I’m just going to be Look, I want to be honest with you. It doesn’t bother me a lot, but you know, when I’m trying to harvest it does, but um yeah, the answer’s from me, would you? It’s one little colindula here. We coming to the end of that for the summer anyway. But we’ll plant them again in fall. Oh, right here, too. These are some of the newer plants I just put in. They look terrible, but they are giving me some um tomatoes. It’s another one right there. So, we love that. They tiny, but they tomatoes. Little snacker tomatoes. But we got some more uh cherry tomatoes ready to go, too. All right. So, we going on the other side. I’m not going to worry about herbs today, either. I’ve been harvesting the herbs really well. Like, I I get them all the time, so I’m not going to worry about them today. And I’ve been putting them in butter and in oil and freezing them. It’s been working out really well. I had told y’all about it um because I saw it on another YouTuber’s channel uh becoming a farm girl. So, I had told y’all about that. We have a few shashito peppers. I take my shashutto peppers when they are green. I also take them when they are smaller. Um I just like them that way. And this plant is kind of small, so I’m trying to pull uh peppers off of it anyway. and the flowers just to help it to get more stable. And I have not fertilized that with any fish emotions yet. The other three that we always talk about, I fertilize those with fish emotions. So, I need to get that done over here. When I was finished fertilizing that day, I was like, “Oh, darn. I never fertilized these.” And then I was hot and I didn’t do it. The cayenne peppers are starting to uh turn colors, too. It’s the smaller ones right now, but I’m still harvesting them so that they can keep growing. like this one right here that’s turning red. I hope y’all can see it. There’s so much foliage right there is turning red as well. All right, on to our next spot. I knew I had saw one in here, too. Let’s get this. I think this is a Amish paste. I’m not 100% sure. So, there’s one right there. These are all anything that’s red, like just a red tomato. I’m going to let it finish ripening in the house and then it’s going in the freezer. In previous years, what I have done is like left them wherever they were ripening and then some of them would go bad. I don’t want that to happen this year and I don’t want to make myself believe that I’m going to that I’m going to make sauces and things right now because I’m not. And so that’s the way that I deal with mine. I get them harvested and then I put them in the freezer or that’s how I’m dealing with them this year and it’s working out so far. These tomatoes, these two, they are blushing. I would like them to blush a little bit more. See, you can see the difference in the greens on these because they’re blushing, but I want them to blush a little bit more. And I just hope that they don’t split while I’m waiting for them to blush. If they do, you know, it is what it is, but I I hope that they don’t. All right, we got another one right here. And that’s another thing. My harvests are small, like small harvests that end up being larger harvest in the end that I can work with. So, also just want to let you know that if you’re going to urban garden in this type of setting is you might have to, you know, just harvest every day, grab things every day, and then make whatever you’re going to make after that because like right now, I do have enough tomatoes now. Like I said, I have two gallon size Ziploc bags full of them. But I want to do it all in one fail swoop if I can. We have another one blushing right here. So, we’re going to go ahead and take that. And then there’s some cherry tomatoes up in here. This is that space I told you that’s just a mess. So, I’mma grab those real quick. I honestly think it already rained out here. Or at least it um what do you want to call it? It sprinkled, drizzled or something cuz it’s kind of wet out here. I’m taking anything that is blushing over here cuz like I said, these tomatoes getting ready to get all kind of diseases cuz it’s just not it’s too much going on over here. So, if it’s blushing, I’m going to take it. I see another one that’s blushing too. This one right here is also blushing. And there’s a few cherry tomatoes in here. The cherry tomatoes for the most part, we eat these fresh, but if I notice that Oh my goodness, y’all. Oh, I got to come. I know I said I’mma pull them out. I am, but I don’t want them to start getting diseased before I get harvest off of them. Oh goodness. I haven’t really been out here today. This is really my first time coming out here to work. I set up on the porch and started my seeds cuz earlier the sun was out and my sister said it was raining where she was and I was like why it raining down here. I want all the rain. I just saw a few more in here when I was about to walk away y’all. Oh, it’s a mess over here. It is a mess. It’s a few more. And these are actually blushing. I know y’all can’t see. I’m sorry. But I’m trying to show you. But look at these. Look at these leaves. Oh my goodness. I had to come out here and just cut everything off. Even if even if the plant looks like bad after I do it, I just want to make sure I get the harvest off of it. And if I don’t, all of this is just going to take over all of the plants in that space. So, these are the candy uh Isis candy. I’m going to take this one, too. Uh the cherry tomatoes I noticed uh will split very easily. So, we got three of those. And then these right here beside them are sun goes. So, we’ll take those. Pretty basket filling up already, y’all. And then here goes some more sun goes. We going to take those two right here. Another one there. If they have any kind of blushing on them, I’m going to take them. They’re ripening in the house. And I take that one, too. It’s a dirt bike that he’s just riding that he’s literally just riding up and down the street. Anyway, let’s move on, y’all. We got to get these peppers. Let’s Y’all, y’all pray for me. We’ll get these peppers real quick. It’s really not that many of them on this side. Yeah, I got to do something. Let me show y’all now. We know I’m not a sprayer, right? I have never Well, I never Oh, don’t get on me. It They on every leaf, baby. They on every leaf. Oh my goodness. They on every leaf. And something else on there with them. Oh, that’s a problem. This is a pablano. That pablano is full of them. So is this shashito. I think beside it, it’s a shashito. Oh my goodness, they full of them. So, I’m not a sprayer, but I got to figure something out. And I know y’all have given me suggestions. But most of them uh include like pesticide type things or putting some type of chemical, even if it’s like soap on it. Um yeah, I got to figure that out. So, if I decide I’m going to do that, I’m going to tell y’all I’m going to do it. But I’m going to try to figure out something else first. What I’ve been doing, which is spraying them, that’s apparently clearly not working. The mosquitoes is out here. It’s my own fault, but I didn’t plan on being out here that long. All right, we got some black cherries in here that’s ready to go. Love it. I’m also trying to beat the rain, y’all. But, um, go some some black cherries. These are very good. Very sweet tomatoes. Not like sunold sweet, but they are sweet. All right. Pretty sure I saw another one. Yeah, it’s right here. This plant is looking pretty bad now, too. I haven’t come out here. I didn’t I wasn’t out here that much yesterday or today, but I got to come out here and cut this stuff off so that I don’t lose these plants. And then over here are all the black beauties. Like look at this one. It has split pretty bad. So, we’ll definitely be eating this fresh. But we’ve been eating these type of tomatoes fresh anyway. But it split real bad and I just don’t want to leave any more to split like this. I noticed it, but I still wanted to wait and see if I could get a super black tomato. So, we going to take all of these today. See a split and another split. All of them split. So, I don’t know. We going to, you know, we still got time. So, we’ll see what happens with the rest of them. So, we did get some, but they’re not super black. So, those are the tomatoes for today. Unless there’s something over in the other green sauce, which we’re going to check that now. We’re going to move on to the beans that’s in the beds. All right, let’s look for beans. There’s some right there. This is the second set that I sewed. I sewed them in the same space, but at different times. So, we got some beans in here. And like I said, I already have two bags of beans in the house, too. But we’ve really been eating those fresh, too. Uh, more than the tomatoes, honestly. And I do take them smaller. Like I said, I like them that way. I just don’t like a beanie bean. It’s just who I am. So, let me finish getting these. But yeah, I do think Yeah, we still got some. We still have flowers. So, they’re not done. They still want to give us more. I also haven’t really watered out here either. So, I need to do that because Oh, wow. missed this. It’s a big old bean. It’s all right. We going to take it. But it’s a big one. I missed it cuz the last two days. Not sure. Oh, I do know. Wasn’t doing anything. I had a situation that just kind of threw my all my energy off, y’all. And I I was just I laid in the bed watching TV yesterday and playing June’s Journey. I played June’s Journey for probably what, I don’t know, two hours or so. I played June’s Journey for a long time, if not longer, if I’m honest. Yeah, y’all might see the first time ever me spraying something in this garden. I had this camera sitting in a bean bag. The ants everywhere. And these are not the same uh I said bean pepper bag. This is not the same side. This is the other side now that’s got them everywhere. And I don’t see the plants producing much if the aphids and ants uh you know using their partnership good enough. They ain’t it ain’t gonna have nothing to grow with. H I don’t want to y’all. I’m not a super healthy eater, right? So when I am eating healthy, I want it to be as natural as I possibly can. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t want to spray. Um like I’m I’m not a healthy eater, but I like what I grow out here. I like that it’s natural. I like that it’s not sprayed with anything, but I might have to do something with these peppers. I saw somebody say neem oil. I don’t even have neem oil. Like, I don’t even have it. Um, but I also want those pepper peppers to keep producing for me. It’s a conundrum, y’all. So, this is one of those times I have to decide, is it that big of a deal if I spray something natural? I use natural fertilizers, y’all. This is me doing it in my head because like trying to figure out in my head what I want to do cuz these ants and aphids are everywhere. All right, before we move on, I’m going to go ahead and take these uh what I say these are or zone. We going to put them in a dehydrator. They’ll be used for a seasoning. See, that’s a ladybug. Go get your ladybug friends, baby. Tell them come tell them come get these apids as only one. Oh, shoot. That’s what I get for being silly. Um, but tell them come get your get your a aid friends. Like this one don’t have no aphids on it. It’s another one. These are very pretty peppers. They have a decent taste to me. Uh, but I like a really sweet pepper. And I guess until they turn purple, they’re not very sweet. But I’m doing I’m pulling them before they turn purple cuz I want a lot of the seasoning. So, with that being said, I’m not letting these turn purple because I just want to They’re very prolific. They uh they produce very nicely. There’s a few shashitos in here. Go ahead and take these. They do get bigger, but some more. Another one right there. Look, y’all. Y’all see them on my legs now, too. I got to make a decision. All right. So, this is feeling like a infestation. And honest truth, I’ve never dealt with a infestation of anything in my garden that I can remember. If anybody remembers me dealing with an infestation, feel free to put it to put it down in the comments, right? But this is an infestation and it’s on most of the peppers that’s on that side. The ones that I showed y’all earlier, I’m not seeing any. So, go ahead, give me your suggestions cuz this year I might have to do it. This is not just a few aphids and a few ants. It’s a whole bunch of them. So, let me get these other beans. Y’all, I thought I could deal with it. I have been dealing with it. I can’t be harvesting the ants just all over me. Not that I think they going to hurt me cuz I don’t have the like red ones that sting or whatever the biting ones are. They just all over me and that’s disgusting. All right, we going to get these beans. Whatever is in here. See if I can find any in here. I’m pretty sure I saw some whatever day that was. Shoot that I was out here. Today is Sunday. Y’all have seen the video on Monday, but today is Sunday. So, I guess I really haven’t been out here since Thursday. And these beans are telling me I ain’t been out here since Thursday. Especially the ones in this bed. Look at this bean. I know somebody probably like, “That’s a nice size bean.” It is, but it’s super beanie. Super beanie. Which again, I will eat it. But oh yeah, it’s like quite a few in here. That’s pretty large. And I’m wondering though, should I just replace these? Cuz some of them are doing the little weird thing where they’re skinny at the top, beanie at the bottom. Could be a watering thing, too. It’s been very hot here. So, it could have it could be a watering thing. And like I said, I haven’t watered the garden. I’m also hoping that it rains and then the rain can do it for me. We’re not getting a big flush like we were before. Maybe I just got to wait it out for a minute. Uh cuz the flowers are definitely here. If you get flowers, chances are you’re going to get beans for the in most cases. They might be getting ready to give me another flush now that it’s cooling down some here. But that’s temporary. It was not going to be cool for a while. And it’s not cool. It’s just not like ridiculously hot. High 90s, 100ยฐ, but it’s still like uh high 80s, low 90s. It’s still hot here. It’s just not burning up hot. Oh yeah, we got beans over here. We got some beans. I probably come out here and harvest two or three times a week just depending on what it’s looking like. I think that’s it though for today. But again, lots of flowers are in there. And you know, aphids will jump on beans too. So I’m also nervous about that. I’m not seeing them on here, but but they will. They right beside the beans. The peppers are right beside the beans. So, definitely got to figure out what I’m going to do with that. By the way, in case you did not see my community post, I was wrong about this trellis in the middle where I was like, “These are all cucumbers. It’s not a cantaloupe right there.” One back there, too. And it’s probably more in here. I just haven’t seen them. So, I’m going to put one of my cantaloupe holders on here. Well, melon holders. I’m just gonna put it around here so as it gets bigger, it’ll go into the melon holder and then it won’t fall. Because the way that you know your melon is ready is it falls off the vine. And so I don’t want it to fall off the vine and then hit the ground on, which is honestly how I normally do it. It’s drizzling, y’all. This is the struggle. This the struggle video. Why are we struggling so much today to get a video done? Oh yeah, it’s drizzling. Okay, we got beans over here on on this green stock. I saw those. This is the green green stock that I was not turning, but it’s beans on here. Lots of them. See? So, I’mma grab those, too. I keep pulling the thingy. Oh, Lord. Now I’m pulling it out. Let me set y’all down cuz now I’m trying to rush so that I can finish this with y’all. But I’m about to t up ants over here, too. So, if you want to get wood chips, just remember you could be inviting the ants to your backyard. I still like them. I’m still I don’t regret getting them. I just need to find out a way. I might get some of the little ant traps that you just kind of sit around. That could help me. I just kind of sit them around the yard. That could help. But right now, they just like free raining out here. Just everywhere. Everywhere. See beans coming off the green stock. I have had a lot of success with the beans and the green stock. A lot of success. I planted beans in the yellow the newer yellow green stock. So, we’ll be getting some more harvest off of there. By the way, the miniature sunflowers started to uh bloom over here, too. They get bigger than that, but I’m pretty sure just like with anything else, it’s only gonna grow to the space that it has to grow in. So, I have those in the purple bags, too. That’s the miniature variety in the purple bags. They get much bigger. Very pretty. Very cute. Very cutesy. All right. I think beans is the only thing right now that’s ready over here. When I moved these, I broke some of my plants, too. But I was like, it’s worth it, you know? to get them moved out of that space where I wasn’t even turning them cuz this green one was not getting turned. I was like this is a hassle because I had the cuz I had the tost in and I said no I’m just not even turning it no more which not my best idea but now that they’re over here and I’m getting to turn them I’m definitely seeing good harvest now. I’m not seeing a good harvest out of these uh cucumbers and melons over here. But you got to think they was getting tore up when I was trying to turn them. It is what it is. We ain’t tripping. Okay, so we got beans out of the green stuff. Got us a flower on that eggplant. Nice. Okay, so y’all I’m going to try a peach off of each one of these trees. We about to try it together actually cuz I don’t know if it’s time for me to pull them or not. I’ve never aunt I’ve never uh well the one time that I did they did get to a good point and I could harvest them harvested them too late. I think I told y’all that. So we going to try this one. It’s a redder one right here though. Let me see. Anyway, it’s a redder one right here. All right, the the rain is coming down. Let me go grab another one off the other tree and I’mma see y’all in the house. All right, y’all. So, we’re inside. I’m gonna get a knife because I want to see if it’s time to harvest these peaches. And now some of them, this is a cleaner one. I took all of them off of the other one just because like things like this was happening. And this you can cut it out of course, but Lord, and this so I just took them off all of them. And that so uh it’s giving plum culio I think is what it’s called. So, we’re going to cut this side cuz we most definitely not eating that. They look good. They look good. Let’s see. They cut easy. They’re not hard. Just want to make sure I ain’t eating nothing that got no uh animal in it. Okay. Yeah, there’s nothing inside of it. They’re not like super hard or anything. They’re not mushy, but last year I cut them when they was mushy and that was a problem. So, I don’t eat I don’t eat peach skin. Uh I just don’t. It’s furry. I don’t like furry skin. Let’s see. That’s very sweet. I think they ready. That’s very sweet, y’all. I would love to have this with like as a jam. I also probably shouldn’t be eating too much of it, but Mhm. Yeah, that’s good. That’s tasty. This was a yellowower one. So, let me try one of the redder ones. But even if I don’t make anything out of this, I can cut this up or I could put it in uh the dehydrator. Oh, they taste so good. This one pretty juicy, too. Let’s see. Mm- I got some skin on that still. That’s good. Let’s try one of the redder ones. Like this is a redder one, but it’s also mushy. So, let’s open this up real quick. Oh, it’s juicy. It’s nice and juicy. I don’t see no animal in it. I don’t see an animal in it. I should have took these sleeves off before I started, but I just wanted to taste them. Yeah, some of it is kind of mushy. So, I think this one might have went too long. If y’all know when I’m supposed to harvest these, let me know, too. That one that’s super red, the one that’s super red is super juicy and super sweet. Mhm. I grew these in my backyard, y’all. That is delicious. I know y’all like why she eating it like that. I don’t want that either. Look how juicy it is. Can y’all see it? Yeah. If they’re pretty red, I’mma take them. Not right now, cuz it’s raining. Oh my goodness. Get you a peach tree, y’all. Had to go wash my hands and take them sleeves off. But I hope that you enjoyed this video. If you did, don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe. Don’t forget to visit me over on Instagram where I post about the things going on in my garden almost every day. Bye y’all.

  1. Ih girl! I am jealous of you getting peaches off your trees already! Ours are still very green, but they're growing and that's what I am looking forward to most – fresh, homegrown Georgia peaches! The last couple of years have not been good peach harvesting years for us, so I keep on cheering our little old peach tree this year because she is looking beautiful! I must have a late-ripening variety because we rarely have ripe peaches before the end of July. But the wait will be so worth it! Glad you're enjoying the ones you grew. My only experience with ants in the garden is dusting them several days in a row with Diatomaceous Earth (DE). I think it's supposed to kill them, but I think they just move house. Our pest control guy said it's been a weird year for bugs – ones that are normally terrible at certain times have not even made an effort to appear, and ones that rarely appear in any significant numbers are appearing in droves. We've had an abnormally wet Spring and early Summer, so I'm guessing that has affected the bugs, too!

  2. Try making powder sugar and baking soda mixed and shape in small balls sparaticly spaced away from your garden beds, It will help tremendously๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. I use cinnamon for ants. I just sprinkle it on the bed at the base of the plants.

I have used neem oil on my fruit trees for small bugs and it helps a lot! I usually just need to spray twice spring/early summer.

    Best of luck!

  4. You should side hustle as a model (ideally for BLAQ brands).
You got that leeeean body that can make daymnnear ANYthing look amazing…. NOT TO MENTION your skin! NOT A WRINKLE OR CELLULITE IN SIGHT!!
Got My legs itchin' watching you out in the elements tho', lol.

  5. I used a small flat plastic top and place a small amount of honey and tiny bit of baking soda and mixed well. Then placed it in the pot that was infested with ants. The next day literally they were gone. Now one thing for sure I place it out in late evening. I have since tried it but during the day and all it did was foam up I guess due to the heat. So definitely do it late evening or night.

  6. Yes! Try neem oil BUT spray later in the afternoon or evening as the sun sets so the sunlight doesn't burn the leaves while the oil dries. You may need to reapply after it rains if the ant and aphid problem presist.

Love your energy and your channel!

  7. Iโ€™ve heard cinnamon is also a good remedy to keep ants away. Absolutely love your channel. My mom and sister always text each other when you post a new video. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  8. If the milk and water doesnt work sprinkle some of your diametacious earth to get rid of the ants. And find their nests and dump some on top.

  9. I steep cinnamon sticks in boiling water and let it cool and set for 24 hrs. then cut with water and spray after every rain or once a week. it helps keep the ants away. When it is a bad infestation, I get a big bottle of cinnamon powder from Costco and cover my beds in a heavy dusting. I had a heavy problem in the beginning of my season, and this helped enormously

  10. Here in the desert Southwest ants are our biggest problem I put out a poison a mixture of borax and sugar or honey or something sweet or you can even put it on something savory like a cracker you have to get to the nest
