Hi everyone! I got this head of lettuce from the grocery store and instead of just throwing it the fridge like I usually do, I would really like to keep it alive and continue growing it.
Is this is the proper way of doing this? Should I keep it in the fridge?

The water level should be a little higher so the roots can reach the water. You should also keep it in the fridge – a head lettuce like this won’t “keep growing” per se as it’s near the end of its life cycle. Most lettuce that you can cut and regrow is marketed as salad or loose leaf lettuce, which is pretty easy to grow from seed.
