    That’s fantastic. The 2023-2024 census observed only 9,119 Monarch butterflies this past winter, which was the second lowest count recorded. Each of the 3 previous years of the census observed 200,000 Monarch butterflies. Millions were observed in the 1980’s. Plant native milkweed specific to the area you live in. The more plants the better.
