  1. I totally agree with your advice on having a baby in September and planting flowers rather than tons of food. I wish I would’ve done that with mine 😂 I still wouldn’t have been able to enjoy it but then I at least wouldn’t have stressed so much about it getting to preserve any of the stuff that I spent months prior cultivating lol

  2. The one thing that I have to say is nice about growing in WI, is that it’s not too hot at any point in our growing season for anything. Like, we are just starting to get our first cucumbers now, peas will start fizzling out here soon but I could totally plant a succession of them right now and get another crop before our first frost. Broccoli and lettuce are the only plants that don’t do fantastic here come august, which is our hottest month. But we only get into 90°-95° a couple days of the year, almost never hotter than that.

  3. I grow my whole garden in containers. Most of my containers are 18 gallon Rubbermaid Totes that I have gotten from people throwing them away. Just be careful of what was put in them before you got them. If they look really dirty, I don't take them. I am in my 80's and I can sit on a stool and take care of my plants with no problem. Would recommend it to anyone with limited space.

  4. Awwwww sorry I missed you live Jess!!! Been praying for yo and all ya”lls. Been missing seeing you on screen but I understand “life”. Xoxo

  5. Would love an update on those new tomato varieties from Brad’s tomatoes! We always keep you and your family in our thoughts. I feared you would over do it with content challenge, even though I loved the daily content. I have been growing the “Packman” hybrid broccoli for a couple of years. It does well and regrows after harvesting the main stem. I put 24 quarts of broccoli in the freezer this year! Win,win!

  6. I grow okra here in VT, and sometimes it doesn't get beyond the 6-8 inch stage and get zapped by frost or something. Other times, like this year, I will get 3-4 okras that get tall and go crazy! So funny and unpredictable We often don't get hot enough weather for long enough up here in the North. Good to see your beautiful face, my dear!🌻❤

  7. BASIL WITH HAIRY STEMS: I had a volunteer come up in one of my pots this year with fuzzy, hairy stems, and I think it is Mrs Burns Lemon Basil, planted year before last 😊year

  8. Missed the live but enjoyed the video. I am glad you are doing better. It is good that Miah does not need surgery. Things happen when your not expecting it.
My 39 year old son just got out of the hospital yesterday. August would be 2 years since his kidney transplant. He ended up with lots of inflammation around his kidney. He is going crazy because he wants to work so bad.
We gotten so much rain that certain plants just do not want to grow.
I keep plaintain salve on hand. I got stung awhile back and used plaintain immediately on it. It helps. I have comfrey planted and hope it continues to grow.

  9. Love the video. Missed the live, didn’t get a notification ☹️☹️. Glad that you and Miah are getting better. I just went through all my containers and pulled weeds and amended them. I have an “L” shaped raised bed that got amended and I planted green beans and 3 different types of squash. I’ve put myself on a schedule due to the heat. I will work from 8-12:30ish Monday,Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I’m taking the other days off to rest. So far it’s working for me, this week I’m going to start some cabbage and another variety of round squash. I’m also going to try and finally get my 5-tier greenstalk set up and put my strawberries in it. Snails or ant are eating them. I’ve only gotten like 4 berries this yr. Have a blessed day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
