With hundreds of violet plants, I found they make wonderful & attractive borders on paths throughout my front yard garden. Pathways are handy too,to drag the hose to water new plants and to bring in tools, fertilizer, and recent additions in a garden cart. The pathway prevents me from damaging my plants by dragging a hose over them (& breaking off parts) and it gives me access to all parts of my front “no lawn”. I’m in zone 9 in west central Florida on nearly two acres, mostly wooded with mulch instead of grass. Oh, I do have turf along the street, however it actually belongs to the County…I only maintain it.

This looks magnificent and beautiful. Like, truly out of an arboretum.
However .. Violets reseed so rapidly they’ll easily fill in the paths in the next year..
This is gorgeous! I especially like your path in photo 2. The blond plant that looks like elephant ear is very striking.
Did you put cardboard under the pathways?
Who would choose boring grass over this! I love it.
Nice
Did you buy all that mulch?
