Greendale Acres is ringing in its 27th season with a jam-packed month of farmyard frolics, music-filled evenings, and more corn than you can shake a husk at.

Beginning August 2 and running through Labour Day weekend, the Chilliwack farmstead is offering a full calendar of family-friendly events that celebrate the best of summer, from flower-filled afternoons to sweet golden hour workshops.

No matter the event, guests can take advantage of all the farm has to offer: the Greendale Express train, U-pick flower gardens, bubble bar, pedal carts, hay bale maze, and more. There’s even a Pumpkin Pyramid, because why wait for fall? Here’s what’s sprouting this August at Greendale Acres.

The Chilliwack Corn Festival – August 2-4

Kicking things off with a-maize-ing energy, the Corn Festival returns for a weekend of live music, corn-eating contests, and the debut of a new bee-themed corn maze. With face painting for the littles and a fully licensed area for the grown-ups, this three-day bash celebrates summer at its most delicious. Just don’t forget to pace yourself if you’re entering the corn shucking showdown.

Midweek Magic – Wednesdays and Thursdays in August

Beat the crowds and score some sweet perks during Midweek Magic. Think $1 slushies on Wednesdays and free rides on the Greendale Express Thursdays from noon to 3 p.m. because even weekdays deserve a little sparkle.

Greendale Acres Flower Festival – August 16-17

Petal power takes centre stage at the farm’s first-ever Flower Festival. Guests can frolic through blooming fields, try their hand at bouquet-making, and enjoy live music under the sun (and stars). Bonus: you can crown yourself flower royalty with a DIY crown.

Sundown Music Series – Saturday nights in August

Each Saturday night, the farm transforms into a toe-tapping outdoor venue, with local musicians playing everything from country to rock while families gather under the stars. With drinks, snacks, and wide-open skies, it’s a true summer vibe.

Golden Hour Flower Workshop – Every Wednesday in August

Want to take your flower obsession to the next level? These golden hour workshops ($45) include a walk through the blooms, hands-on floral arranging, and light refreshments. Just bring a vase (or pick one up on site) and leave with your own farm-fresh bouquet.

Summer Send Off Festival – August 30 to September 1

Before the backpacks come out and the lunchboxes return, the Summer Send Off Festival offers one last hurrah. With games, music, sweet treats, and a stacked concert lineup, it’s a proper send-off to summer holidays.
