Is this some form of grass that weed killers just won't get? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Any 2-4-D should kill it. Might take two applications over 10 days.

Crabgrass. Use quinclorac mixed with methylated seed oil. I just used Drive xlr8 to spot treat some in my lawn. It needs the MSO to get absorbed by the crabgrass.

  3. Quinclorac will be the most effective for control of crabgrass. Follow instructions on the label.

Quinclorac. I like XLR8 with a surfactant. After 3 days it is brown and dying off. Next year get Prodiamine down in February and it shouldn’t come back.

Lawn looks stressed. Consider this when applying.

Can quinclorac be applied to sod? My grass is similar and sod was laid in March

Label for mesotrion says it’s pre n post crab, I’ll find out soon

  8. I have been treating crabgrass in my yard by painting herbicide on the leaves with a small foam brush. Tedious but it has been working and is leaving the surrounding good grass.
