  1. I grow in raised beds because my neighbors trees roots have started growing into my garden and stealing all the nutrients and water from my garden. I would love to try the fabric raised beds 😊

  2. Would love to try these fabric pots as I am in Florida 10a. I have a lot of traditional plastic pots but struggle with them for my larger perennials. I also have tall raised beds and have drip irration in those now. BTW, I love your videos and appreciate all your knowledge and sharing! Signed up for giveaway. Thanis!

  3. I entered! I use raised garden beds because the soil where I live is mostly clay; not great soil for gardening. I like grow bags because they can be portable, easier for me to change/amend the soil. I’m using potato bags for the first time this year. I need one more 4 x 4 grow bag to grow pumpkins.

  4. I have been looking for a video for just this subject. I have one raised bed, the rest of garden is in ground. I have noticed that the raised bed it dries out quicker. I try to be consistent with the watering, but doesn't seem enough.

  5. After having in-ground veggie gardens for several years, I learned quickly that raised beds are the best way for me to grow my food. Getting down on your knees to weed, or hoeing, is just not fun and the amount of wasted water is unreal. I love Cylindra beets and would utilise another raised bed just for that one crop. No 4-legged critters would get my fav vegetable! Thank you!

  6. For me, raised beds allow for better planning and customizing of my garden areas. I love them. I too use a sprayer, but I do my best to reach underneath the leaves and spray as carefully as I can. Some day I hope to set up drip irrigation. Love both your channels! Thank you!

  7. Growing and raised beds is so much easier on the back and knees. I also like that it's easier to control the weeds.

  8. I would love to try these containers and raised beds. I have using many fabric grow bags, and a couple raised beds for years. Occasionally they will get hydrophobic when I forget to increase the watering frequency during the hotter summer months.

  9. I'm gardening in raised beds and grow bags for a couple of reasons. I have limited space where I don't get too much or too little sun, that's reason one. Secondly, I have 4 dogs who have total freedom in my backyard. For some reason, unknown to me, whenever I plant something in the ground, one or more of my precious babies can't wait for an opportunity to dig it up. Of course, they don't do it while I'm watching and I'm not sure if all of them are guilty or if it's only one or two. So, it's impossible for me to correct their behavior regarding this particular issue. Plus, my backyard soil is pretty lousy Georgia red clay. So, I actually have 3 reasons.
Thanks for the watering tips. I watch and enjoy all your gardening videos. I'd like to win the Grassroots give away because I think their products are ingenious. I'd love to give them a try. If I didn't already have a small fortune invested in growbags, I'd throw them out and start fresh with new ones from Grassroots. Happy gardening!

  10. Thanks for the informative video. I have been over watering one of my raised beds. I know better, but was just watering on autopilot, not good.
I have to grow in raised beds because of gopher pressure.
I would love to try these fabrics pots. I have given up on them. There was just no way to keep the plants alive in the summer in fabric pots. If they are as good as you say, I'm very excited to give them a try.

  11. I like to grow in raised beds mostly because of gophers. Last year I had to replant a couple dozen plants from gopher damage. Although we got them under control, it is still a huge pain to see your hard work dissappear overnight.

  12. I live in a urban townhome with a patch of lawn only about 10' x 20' in the front and a raised deck only in the back, so container gardening is my life! I have never tried grow bags and raised beds, I'm a bit intimidated by them, but would love to expand my little garden so I can grow even more food for my family!

  13. I grow in raised beds with heavy wire mesh underneath because of ease of care and foiling gophers. It is so much easier for me to keep the soil healthy and saves my back. After 60 I noticed more physical issues cropping up. Thank you for all your time and teaching I love your channel

  14. I grow in a raised bed because it’s easier to reach. I would love to try the cloth raised beds to not have to keep replacing wood. Love the video concerning watering a raised bed. ❤

  15. Having raised beds are the way we are going because we are getting older. I love to have another one. Because weeding and picking the vegetables would be much easier ❤❤❤❤

  16. I was just today wondering what to do with the dirt in a totaly dried out flower pot with hydrophobic soil. I will soak it in a bucket and see how long it takes to get it to soak up the water. By the way thanks for the contest, I would love to try one of those. I would connect an automatic waterer to it so that I don't run into the underwatering problematic.

  17. I've had in ground beds for many years, but i have been switching over to raised beds since I cannot get down on my hands and knees anymore. The raised beds and containers have allowed me to continue to garden. 😊

  18. I live in TX and it's HOT! These pots would be so much better than what I am using now. I water daily but now I'm thinking twice a day would be better! I have such a small garden space that bags are the only way to maximize planting area.

  19. We are gardening to teach the kids how to be self sufficient and use raised beds because we live in an area with clay soil.

  20. I want to start a garden because I am sick and tired of paying $2.30 ea. for Tomatoes that taste like old wallpaper paste. My husband passed away. I am now alone. He was the gardener. One year he trained his cucumbers to grow up my crape myrtles. I got annoyed but he said we were the only people with a cucumber tree. I thought having a garden would help me pass the time.

  21. Currently using fabric pots and watering like crazy here in the west side of wa state. My young children are interested in gardening. I think it would be incredibly awesome for them to learn how to set up and grow our food from start to finish. I've been watching you for the last 5 years or so. Have learned a lot over the years. Watched your review of these and have wanted to try them. I have 140 fabric containers. Thanks for everything you and your team has taught me. Looking forward to the next 5 years.

  22. My raised beds save my back and allow me to keep gardening. I keep adding more beds and grow bags and have been wanting to try Grassroots.

  23. I grow in the ground and in grow bags. I haven’t had issues with the grow bags but it would be nice to see how these work. I’m in FL so above ground works better with all the rain we get. Rabbit poo is what helps the most.

  24. Great info! Thanks! I love the look of a tidy garden with raised beds. We're in the process of expanding a side yard to add more raised beds (chasing the sun in the North Idaho shady woods LOL)

  25. I live on a retreat center, my hubby is the facilities manager. The land that they let us use is small, so we plant quite intensively. Raised beds are the way to go for us! We use every inch possible!

  26. As I get older, it is easier to use raised beds. Preparing for my future. Never used at cloth raised bed and would love to try one

  27. I love growing in raised beds but have always struggles because I was making EVERY mistake you talked about. But, finally, this year, I have corrected them all and I am back loving my garden. It does require effort up front for things like drip irrigation and mulch but it is so worth it in the long run!

  28. Great video as always, Brian. Bad knees along with clay soil stop me from planting veggies in the ground. I started out with 10 gal grow bags that dried out too quickly, then added metal raised beds, which I love. I have been wanting to try these fabric beds ever since you first showed them in your garden. Thanks for a chance at the giveaway!

  29. I enjoy gardening and eat what I grow. All of my garden plots are on top of the ground because of pipes and water line buried below. I would like to expand my garden by adding a few more beds. Like I live in a dry climate. These bags would be perfect.

  30. That fabric raised bed would be nice to grow my watermelons. I am growing onions, peppers and tomatoes and carrots in raised beds.

  31. Raised beds are a great invention these days for many reasons as they stand tall so right away the flowers look more impressive, the vegetables are easier to prune and find and since they are off of the ground there are less pests. We can prepare the beds with healthier soil and amend it easier than if in ground . My daughter is always wanting to start a small garden but , since all the costs add up has been putting it off for years. I entered the contest because I have metal raised beds and always want more and found the style that you are promoting interesting . The ground is mainly hard adobe where my daughter lives which would be more expensive and difficult to prepare to grow in so having a garden bed would be an instant boost for getting a garden started .Good informative video, like always.

  32. I have some raised beds, I have had a hip replacement, knee replacement, and shoulder replacement
I also have severe arthritis and now I have a stimulator put in my back.
In the next 5 years, I will have to have surgery there. My husband's says I will be the bionic woman 😅.
So I didn't want to stop gardening, I have gradually been adding beds. Both both of us are being disabled. We have to do it gradually, and winning would be another bed done.
Always love watching, God bless 🙏
