Seeded last fall in new construction neighborhood in Minnesota and over-seeded in the spring. The lawn is mostly doing well in my opinion but these yellow flowers have popped up ALL OVER. Seemed to happen really fast. I’m new to this. Is my lawn cooked or what steps can I take to recover? Just fertilized two weeks ago.

Clover. Great for pollinating. I personally like the look of it mixed into my grass.

This is the one answer I’m good for here lol. Black medic. I use the hose end Scott’s lawn weed stuff. It does it. Discolors the grass for a bit but it seems to come back. Get on it now, it’s spreads like crazy. Though sounds like it already had…

Black Medic. It’s invasive but can be pulled or killed with something like 24d

I’d pull out what you can with a hand held weeder and spot treat the area with weed killer for lawns to get the hole the weed came from and the surrounding areas where seeds could be.

Nothing wrong with that, wouldn’t recommend use of anything with atrazine though, if you really want it gone. Side effects are bad.

Did you add pre emergent when seeding both times? Get a weed killer down

Oxalis. Definitely not a clover. I have/had a micro clover mix lawn and the Oxalis has taken over large sections. I can pull it but it just comes back. If I spot treat, the clover is killed too. The clover fans never tell you about the negatives.
