I’m new to native gardening & this is my Texas milkweed plant!! I’m hoping someone can confirm that it is being used for its intended purpose and these are some sort of butterfly eggs!! Google is saying yes
Alas, those are milkweed aphids, Aphis nerii. They can do a good bit of damage. I usually take a hand sprayer- using just water and water pressure- to remove them. Eventually, ladybirds and hoverflies etc will show up to help, but in the absence of those I’d try to stay ahead of them.

Agreed these are aphids. They love milkweed. You can also just squish them with your hands.
