That wood will not break down in a year or even three years.
GM GreenT! I only have cardboard…no logs to fill my metal beds. Do you think only cardbord would be sufficient? TIA
I would add 1-2 bags of composted steer manure down in those spaces between the wood pieces before adding the leaves. And don’t forget to lightly water all of that in before adding other compost and soil.
