  1. James have you heard about Diquat Diabromide being used in agriculture as an insectcide in NJ?I understand it is Very Bad for our Good insects

  2. Dude I literally just picked one of those grubs out of my pumpkin for the first time today, that thing was HUGE!

  3. This year I ordered a 25lb bag of surround Kalen clay and sprayed all my plants it works amazing I have tripled my production from last year.the pest last year killed about everything thanks for the videos James

  4. I do a monthly imidacloprid root drench once a month and it works excellent on all those pests from zuchinni to my competition giant pumpkins

  5. Oh man, the dreaded squash vine borer! This year I am growing my cucumbers in the greenhouse. Parthenocarpic varieties. So far so good.

  6. Love your content. Its been helping me a ton as a beginner and helping me have confidence and hope even when problems arise

  7. I don’t have the problems most people have with bugs & diseases, as I have to grow in a greenhouse, it’s very cold here- BUT ….I stake my squash and find that they can kink at the bottom. That’s just like the vine borer bugs, it stops the flow of water, and the squash are small. If I tie it to a nice, heavy wooden stake it works great. 👍🏻 Thank you for all of your tips- invaluable!!

  8. Burying a node is the only way we can ensure a crop.
Or if we are lucky to catch their life cycle just right. Covering ? They can emerge from the ground to lay eggs at the base or stem. And of course the squash need pollinated.

  9. Thank you, James! I speak for the masses, you are contagious!! Absolutely love listening to you and the knowledge you have. This must have taken years to learn! So appreciated from IDAHO! 🥔

  10. My pumpkins keep starting to grow, but then they still shrivel up and fall off, just like the unpollinated ones. It gets enough water, so I'll try fertilizer tomorrow. The vine looks great though. Thanks for sharing these tips.
