I got this with the buds already because I thought it was pretty (first pic). Now it's fully flowered (second pic). I kinda like the stupid thing, and today I learn it's gonna die??? Is my airplant cooked or will it keep growing after this?

I’m pretty sure it’ll grow pups as it dies off
It will take a loonnggg time for it to die though. It will take several months for the pups (which can appear soon after or take a while to appear) to even get to 1/3 the size of the mother plant.
