Looks gross but is apparently harmless? Should I try to get it out and then flush the pole with a physan 20 diluted solution? There are also fungus gnats in there so I have to flush it regardless. Is it worth taking out the plant that’s already established in the pole?

Curious what the answer to this ends up being as I have a ton in the bottom of the pole my monstera albo is on.

I also found some slime molds and then didn’t care but left them alone, years later I heard the most interesting podcast about them and was so glad I had the chance to see one before listening. It was a Stuff You Should Know episode

Also there are other ways to get rid of fungus gnats that aren’t physan.
