Joined by 90,000 visitors, BBC Gardeners’ World Live 2025 took place 12-15 June at the NEC Birmingham, showcasing a record of 48 show gardens, alongside all-new panels and events.
Reflecting on the annual event that celebrated plants, growers and retailers last month, BBC Gardeners’ World Live featured The Plant-Based Garden, designed by Nick Bailey.
The headline show garden was created entirely using natural materials, encouraging people to transform one metre of outside space for the good of the planet.
Alongside BBC Gardeners’ World colleagues such as Adam Frost, Monty Don, Rachel de Thame on stage at the BBC Gardeners’ World Theatre, the four-day event included events and a new stage.
‘An Audience With’ events offered intimate garden talks with Nick Bailey and Rachel de Thame.
The new ‘In Conversation With’ stage saw leading gardening personalities discussing topics from small-space food growing to green cities.
Lucy Tremlett, event director at Immediate Live, BBC Gardeners’ World events organisers, describes the day as “a feast for the senses,” adding:
“We added more horticultural highlights with the BBC Gardeners’ World presenters and Magazine editors, the Floral Marquee, displays of indoor, outdoor and brand new plants, the International Orchid Show, new workshops and stages, expert tips and advice, book signings and children’s activities.”
BBC Gardeners’ World Live returns to the NEC 11 – 14 June 2026, while the BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair, in association with English Heritage, takes place at Audley End House and Gardens in Essex from 29-31 August 2025.
The BBC Gardeners’ Spring Fair takes place at Beaulieu in the New Forest from 1-3 May 2026.
