Hey all, appreciate this one is embarrassingly legging boy but it’s gone white. Is this bad? Why would this happen?
Watering as appropriate when soil is dry and it’s in a west facing small window in the UK.
Thanks.

  1. Looks etiolated, it’s craving for some light.

  2. Idk if it’s bad or not but it sure is pretty!

Usually this happens when they’re getting absurdly low amounts of light, like left in a closet for weeks kinda absurd. Why this happened next to a window, I couldn’t say, but it probably isn’t a good sign lol

It’s going white because of a genetic mutation that causes a part of the plant to develop without the green part of a plant (forgot what’s its called), I suggest giving it bright direct light and propagate its leaves to grow more. No need to worry about the white parts, they mainly don’t do anything that benifits or harm the plant.

Slowing introduce light, if u rush it will sunburn. Especially with the white parts of the plant..

It is a harmless genetic mutation that is sought after called Variegation.
