My string of hearts got root rot. All the strings are connected to tubers and I’ve taken off the rotted roots. Some of them still have some short healthy roots and some have zero roots left. Can I simply re-plant these? Or do I need to chop the strings off and just plant the tubers? It’s my first string of hearts and my first string of anything so I’ve never dealt with tubers before. Any help would be much appreciated!

in my experience the tubers don’t like staying wet, i would try putting them in a prop box with moss. everything that is squishy needs to be cut off or it will spread, even if the tubers are squishy. sometimes if you take a couple leaves off it is easier for it to root. don’t give more water until the leaves are slightly softer or you can *gently* fold them without damage
Chances are you may have had it in a bigger pot than needed, SOH like shallow pots.
Keep air circulation for them.
Trim away the dead pots and try again. Yes the tubers can sprout new growth:-)
