I was a skeptic as I’m relatively new to lawn care. The large lawn on the left of sidewalk was a dirt patch after having the septic field replaced when I bought the house 5 years ago. I’ve always put kentucky fescue 51 and local branded rye.

Last fall I killed off the strip because it was overrun with weeds and planted Black Beauty original and ultra mixed.

Some people will tell you black beauty isn’t even that high quality of a seed. Looks good to me.

Not just quality, but the actual see being used. Kentucky fescue sucks for a lawn IMO.

There’s also better seed that Jon Green, but their seed cultivars are fine…it’s their weed count they suffer on…but looks like you got a clean bag, or had less issues overall.

But it definitely looks better…shame is you’ll never get the tall fescue area to be outgrown by anything else…it gorws too fast and wants to spread.
