I’ve lost 3 leaves off this in the last week or so, area is going through a huge heat wave. I water as the soil dries out, indoor plant only, doesn’t get any sun. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Did you just get the plant? Was it recently repotted?

Ficus are NOT shade loving plants, you REALLY need to put it smack in the middle of your brightest window.

It might just be reacting to the heat, if you’ve had it for so long and it’s never had issues. Could just be a matter of waiting it out.

These guys hate for their roots to remain moist and usually drop leaves because the soil stays moist for too long. If it’s been in the same pot for so long the soil might be compacted. The top appears dry but the bottom is staying consistently wet.

This looks like root rot more likely, pot looks too big so too much soil and spot doesn’t look bright enough

Those yellowing leaves, spreading from the middle, are more likely to be showing that it’s overwatering than too hot, possibly even rotting under the soil. I would suggest pulling him out to check on them. You have to let him dry out more between waterings, they are more drought tolerant than they are wet tolerant. Also sun, lots, as much as possible, they love it. (Maybe not all at once if never had it!)
