I had a lot of people asking for progress pictures, and I guess I wasn't very good at documenting the whole process!
I found a few photos that show a little more of what the area looked like before, but not many.
Basically, when we moved in 18 years ago, this place was a mess. It had been a rental and there was virtually Nothing planted in the whole yard. This front part of our yard was all weeds, dirt, some old tires… not very appealing! I started years ago by planting some shrubs around the edges, a few perennials…and I've been slowly chipping away ever since! Pick axing away the grass, the weeds, the dirt, the rocks, it's been so much hard work! But definitely a labor of love.
My " vision" has changed so many times, I don't even remember what I originally wanted this area to look like!
Now I remember why I have so few "before" pictures!!! I had a phone malfunction and lost a ton of pictures.
