I bought this Monstera from Target two weeks ago and have only watered it once since. The new leaf was there, but not yet unfurled when I got it, and it has made no progress since, along with developing these brown spots. I put it directly next to my other Monstera that’s doing really well under these plant lights, and it gets some indirect light from about 2-7pm. Wtf is going on

Have you checked it for pests?
These definitely need more light then your monster deliciosa. The damage around the edges looks like over-watering. How long does it take for the soil to dry out entirely?
Have you repotted it? Also, these guys need a lot of light. 10-14 hours of bright light is ideal even for regular deliciosas. I can’t see much of your other monstera to determine if it seems like it’s doing well under those conditions, but if it’s sharing a light, it likely isn’t getting enough!
I had the same problem and it turned out to be root rot, that soil from Target isn’t the best for them. Maybe try checking the roots. I had to take off all the brown leaves and ended up cutting most of the affected roots and put it water, it’s been doing a lot better! Good luck 👍🏼
Just commenting to say I had this SAME exact issue with the same plant also bought from target! It was so beautiful and looked so healthy in store but I’ll never buy a plant from them again. I repotted it when I brought it home but I’ll try some of the suggestions shared by others.
I always repot when I get a new plant because I don’t trust stores taking correct care of them. Seems a little small too maybe
Target is a bad idea in general imo
