I had a rotting deck and ugly flowerbed plus lots of angst from basically everything and decided to renovate my backyard this spring. It’s taken me about 2 months to get to this point but I’m nearing completion for this season. Hoping my bulbs come up before end of summer, I was a tad late getting them/planting. did this all by myself ( minus a part in my upper yard that was done through a city program) all of my plants I got from our local arboretum sale.

Now I’m waiting for my community cats to go in their new houses.

I still need to move a hug raised bed to another spot, I may end up needing help for that bc it was so heavy & I couldn’t take it apart due to stripped screws etc thanks dad 🫠

I’ll fill in additional things come fall since most of what I planted is spring/summer.

Looking good! If you don’t already, consider turning off your outdoor lighting when not in use to help the birds and night pollinators in your area.

This looks lovely!! The waiting for stuff to fill in is the absolute worst part. Boy, will it be worth it in three years, though!!! Enjoy!

Get rid of the light pollution. The rest is beautiful 🙂
