New plant mom, starting with an aglaonema! Anything i should know?

Helloo! Just to phrephase this I’m a teen so my room is the only place I can keep MY plants. I have been wanting to keep plants for a while now and i finnaly got my mom to bring me to Walmart (the closest place to us with plants. Not my first choice to buy them but i don’t have a choice) and i picked out this pretty aglaonema! I’ve done a bit of research and I’ve discovered I should water it whenever the top 2 or so inches of soil are dry, and I also have a wooden skewer in there to help me figure it out. I also have a north west facing window in my room (it’s the only one in my room) I get a decent amount of light and since these are marketed as being able to survive in low light I figure this would be good in my room. I’ve since learned they can survive but they don’t thrive and if i notice my plant is dying i will move it to a bigger window somewhere in the house (hopefully i won’t have to) the window is also near my air conditioning unit i have on year round so should i move it on the further side of the window so it doesn’t get to cold or can it live by the cold air? i also am not able to get another pot but the one they provided has a decent amount of space and one drainage hole. It looks like they were killing it at Walmart but it was the most alive plant there so? Anyways is there any tips yall have for me or anything i should know? I am planning on getting a growth plant light whenever i can but for now this is my setup. I haven’t watered it today (I got it earlier) because the top soil is damp. Anything i should do? Ik this was a long post so I thank you sincerly for reading it all.

(Also I’ll post a pic of the light in The window in the morning, it’s night rn so I can’t)
