I made my first moss pole about two weeks ago and it’s already attached to it. I watered it for the first time yesterday (it was damp when I made it). Watering is a little tricky. Just nice a slow and let it absorb as you add water. I learned that the hard way and ended up showering all those around lol.

I saw this photo and gasped because it absolutely is genius. Even if the plant roots into the towel, its movable and wetting the towel could encourage aerial roots to grow as well (though I’m sure you’d move it away from the wall to prevent mold).
Sometimes depression does beget genius and you are one of those geniuses.

I make crocheted trellis for some of my pothos. They do have to be woven in as they grow. Very easy care.
