On Wednesday July 2nd, Goose unveiled the pro-shot video of their inaugural headlining performance at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday, June 28, 2025. The premiere revisits the band’s landmark, marathon show—an over-four-hour, curfew-busting spectacle that left the sold-out crowd in awe.

Coming off a string of festival triumphs and headlining amphitheatre appearances on this summer’s Everything Must Go Summer Tour, Goose graduated to the “World’s Most Famous Arena” in emphatic fashion, selling out Madison Square Garden and extending their set well past the four-hour mark—outrunning the venue’s curfew by a full hour before finally taking their leave.

The June 28 performance featured two epic sets packed with fan-favorite originals, jaw-dropping covers, and guest appearances by the horn section from their acclaimed studio record, Everything Must Go (released in April 2025 via No Coincidence Records).  The guest musicians—Stuart Bogie (saxophone), Dave Nelson (trombone), and Andrew McGovern (trumpet), took charge on a handful of tunes from the record, including heart-pounding “Feel it Now,” and an incendiary “Dustin Hoffman” jam that morphed into a spine-tingling “Animal” to close out the first set. The trio returned to the stage for a blistering encore of “Arcadia” that showcased Bogie’s sax lines scaled for arena acoustics.

Additional highlights include unforgettable covers of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes’ “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” and Otis Day and The Nights’ “Shama Lama Ding Dong.” Rounding out the evening setlist is a curated selection of tracks from Goose’s expansive, genre-blurring catalog, including “Thatch,” “Tumble,” “Creatures,” “Red Bird,” and many more.

Goose’s performance debuted on Wednesday, July 2nd, at 7 PM ET, exclusively on Goose’s YouTube channel. For more information on the band, including upcoming tour dates, merchandise, and more, please visit goosetheband.com.

About Goose:

Goose is an American rock band known for its genre-blending sound, improvisational live performances, and dedicated fan base. The band is Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass), and Cotter Ellis (vocals, drums). Their music — a deft union of indie-rock hooks, sprawling improvisation, and driving rhythm — has propelled them from performing in Connecticut basements to headlining some of the most revered stages in the country. Known for their strong DIY ethos, Goose has grown organically through relentless touring and utilizing platforms like YouTube, Bandcamp, and nugs.net to share live performances and connect with fans.

Goose’s latest release, Everything Must Go is the first release since 2022’s critically acclaimed Dripfield. Everything Must Go marks the band’s evolution since its inception in 2014. Drawing from the feel of its live performances, the album features a carnivalesque cast of characters — primarily songs written throughout the band’s recent years of growth, including re-imagined live staples and songs that capture the band’s evolving, dynamic sound.

Since their earliest days recording 2016’s Moon Cabin in a barn in northern New Hampshire, Goose has been developing their unique approach to writing and improvising, achieving a rare balance between thoughtfully crafted songs, tight musicianship, and emotional honesty. 2022 saw the release of their critically acclaimed third LP, Dripfield. That album earned them #2 on Billboard’s “Top New Artist Albums” chart as well as praise from Rolling Stone, who called it “both sweet headphone ear candy and the foundation for a perfect live peak.” The accolades were yet another feather in the band’s cap, having sold out venues like Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheater, Forest Hills Stadium, and headlined Madison Square Garden in the summer of 2025, performed on the likes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, CBS Saturday Morning, and played their share of iconic music fests, including Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and many more. Through their commitment to forward momentum, Goose continues to remind us that music isn’t simply played—it’s felt, lived, and shared.
