Have you ever grown netoriums before? They’re a beautiful flower, an annual. You can plant them easily from seed, and if you grow them, you’ll often get volunteer ones the next year. You can get them in beautiful variagated foliage, or you can get them with nonvariagated foliage. This one’s not in bloom yet, and it’s hiding in the lavender. Their leaves and flowers and seeds are fully edible. You can put them on salads. And the little seeds are spicy, kind of like a tiny radish. I don’t have any that are in seed yet, but when the flower is done, it creates a little seed that’s kind of like the size of a caper. It’s a really cool plant to grow. I’ve got some here in my herb garden growing and I have some on my deck growing in pots with my raspberries and get some beautiful flowers. One year my ntoriums did so well they reached all the way off the deck down towards the ground. You can tuck them in with plants. They’ll fit in pretty much anywhere. They’re easy to grow full sun into part shade. They grow the best in full sun though. Water when dry. The major drawback is aphids love them. So you can get infestations of aphids happening. But all in all, an absolutely wonderful annual plant to grow.
