I want to start my balcony garden. I started watching you first time gardening playlist and I wanted to know if there is a big difference in the electric bill with the grow lights? If I’m using 8 grow lights. Two for each shelf. Or can I just use one grow light per shelf? Help Please and Thank you. My fingers are itching to plant my succession veggies but it's been raining constantly these last couple of days here in Texas. I'm worried my cantalopes and watermelons are gonna suffer, so two of my watermelons have split. Good luck everyone with your gardening.
Happy 4th and so sorry about Mac's passing. I watched a prior video about Sugar Baby watermelons, and had to try them. Can't wait—who doesn't love watermelon during the dog days of summer. I have to say I'm amazed about the tendrils! As the vine was growing, I zip tied it to the first rung of the trellis—and it takes a while—the plants seem to have a mind of its own–but then all of a sudden, it just knows to grab onto something—like it's holding on for dear life—I put horizontal strings across the trellis to support tomatoes, peppers, etc…and the watermelon grabbed onto the string—and wrapped itself around it—like 4 times over. Just amazing!
We JUST received your late summer garden seed collection in the mail. We'll be planting out some of those varieties this weekend. Yay!!! We also have some cherry tomatoes that are almost ready to be transplanted out for replacements in this intense heat. Middle TN here. We don't see frost until – generally – Halloween, at the earliest. So we have some time to let things grow.

I’m succession planting, heat is getting 🥵, I’m adding some tomato suckers and keep planting around the garden 🪴 hard but never give up, I will still say hello Mac woof woof 🐾 because I know he is around when filming ❤
