Central Arizona bermudagrass lawn has been having issues since the spring. Anybody know what this is and the best thing to treat it with?

  1. That looks like spurge or lespedeza. Should be able to control it with a broadleaf herbicide, if it’s lespedeza it might take more than one application though because it is slightly more woody stemmed.

spurge. with many varieties, if you break a stalk there will be a white drop of fluid that appears, similar to tree sap.

Definitely Spurge, most herbicides will kill it because it’s a broadleaf, 24-D is usually a common chemical used. Just be careful because you’re not supposed to spray in hotter temperatures

Weed and feed should work water afterwards

Spurge is super easy to just pull, instead of all these chemicals. Sometimes there’s like 1 root ball that is covering 4 sq ft.
