Hi new member here 👋
I have one dried out container moss garden under my belt and was attempting to find out more before trying another one.
So I got this book which I've added a photograph of the front cover of and wondered if anyone else had read it and what you think of it?
Her systems seem to be slightly different to the ones being recommended on here and some YouTube channels.
She creates a planting soil out of the combination of things like Fuji sand, rice hull charcoal, academa soil, river sand, and some kind of peat soil. She kneads this into a ball with water so that you can then apply it directly on something like volcanic rock or driftwood and then develop a scene where the moss is placed on the soil. She just then mists the moss and also moves it outside frequently or keeps it in the well-ventilated place inside and and then moves it outside.
she also does these Kokedama bonsai Moss balls in a similar kind of way.
I'm trying to adapt something because I don't want to have to find all those ingredients and it's not so available here.
The other thing that I found quite interesting and potentially useful there is her suggestion to put the moss garden outside every day and jnside keep it next to a bright spot with good airflow.
I'm going to try and get an getting an extender for my windowsill so that I can put it on my windowsill. So any thoughts welcome thank you
