HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – People in Garden City have some extra parking spots to choose from.
Horry County announced the new lot at the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Dogwood Drive offers 30 free parking spaces for residents and visitors. It’s just steps away from the beach and also has green space and benches to enjoy the views.
The new lot also provides an opportunity for food trucks looking to bring their flavors to Garden City.
The location can accommodate up to five food trucks at a time.

This temporary improvement is part of a broader streetscape enhancement project that is planned for 2027, which will stretch from Waccamaw Drive to Atlantic Avenue.
