Our new greyhound is younger and much more active than our last one. My poor lawn is copping it 😭
Ah well, it's a mix of Couch and Kikuyu, it'll come back once winter's over 😅

Yeap. Same thing happened to my neighbour. He did some extensive yard work and had to start from scratch last year. The lawn WAS beautiful until this spring. He has two dogs that run around like your puppy. Soon all he had was a gigantic mud pit. He got it fixed when things dried a bit.

That yard is way to small for a greyhound. Your gonna loose your whole lawn in time from the zoomies

Ha, well worth it. Pure joy right there

Great excuse to discuss a lawn renovation at the end of summer😎

This is the point of a lawn. Cherish the memory, it won’t be like this forever

My dog did the same thing
I got tired of the dust and dirt getting in the house so i graded the entire yard down 4 inches and i filled with small gravel rocks
I still have to rake the rocks once a month to re level it from his running paths but no more dirt and dust

Rain season means a wrecked lawn and a filthy dog that’s hard to clean, LOL. Better wait for sunny weather before fixing anything, otherwise it’ll just turn into a mud pit again.

  8. Honestly, I have three dogs that all do zoomies (all over 60lbs). My lawn was screwed, but then I fenced off half, and put in some Zoysia sod. Best decision ever! It holds up so well to them.

I’ll do the other half of the yard this fall. I don’t want to take away the whole thing from them at once.
