My spouse just finished setting up this 18x18x36 vivarium with springtails and isopods for her gecko, who is moving up from a janky unnatural 18x18x18 to a deluxe all-natural mansion! (Photo of old enclosure included for reference)

Looks epic! Big improvement clearly. Ive seen a study fone on leopard geckos that gave them the options of three tanks – a natural (bioactive) and a natural (synthetic) and a non natural (bare minimum paper towels three hides and a water boel basically) and it showed that the leopard geckos soent close to 4x more time in tbe bioactive tank then the other two combined! I know thats unrelated but its another reason why bioactive is the best esy to go
Definitely a good start.
Just be sure to move over that fake foliage when the gecko goes in until your plants go in. You want to make sure there’s plenty of coverage so the gecko can feel safe.
If you’re not a fan of continuing with the fake plants, a larger schefflera arboricola would fit in the bottom and fill out that space nicely.
You’ll also want to add some more climbing opportunities as well. The gecko can’t utilize all that empty space without more things on climb on
