GARDEN CITY, Rich County — Garden City has announced that purchased fireworks can be legally discharged only at the Garden City Heritage Park in the east and north parking lots and only on certain dates.

On June 30, Garden City Fire District Fire Chief Mike Wahlberg announced that between July 2 and July 4, and again between July 22 and July 25, fireworks purchased in Utah can be legally discharged only in those designated spaces.

Wahlberg said the hours that fireworks can be discharged on those days are between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.  An exception is made on July 4 and July 24, when fireworks can be discharged between 8 p.m. and midnight.

Garden City Fire District will have a fire truck and crews available at the park to provide aid if needed.
