  1. im in this place 7:52 of not wanting to go into my garden. i had a late frost so a late start then a string start but before anything getting to harvest the heat hit hard and the garden is struggling and idk what to do about it. i cant solve it and i keep striking out… debating not even doing a fall garden cause it is too many fails in a row… i need to live where you live cause high desert gardening feels lioe an excersize in futility

  2. Ooh Jess, you said, “oh a humming bird” at the exact moment two hummingbirds landed on my feeder. Divine!

  3. Praying for you both! Thank you for the pep talk! It’s always good to remember to NOT give up completely.

  4. I've recently been ill for 3 weeks. I'm rarely ill b/c of 'farm immunity' and a clean diet. But, I've often thought of how you push through the pain for the benefit of your gardening community, your family. Thank you for such a strong example. Prayers for your complete healing; wisdom for the doctor's on Miah's diagnosis and procedures. And especially, waiting to see the 'why' of these delays. We bless you!

  5. Good to see you out and about again Jess. Lifting Miah up in prayer right now. Low battery? Well, as you say, let the low end drag!

  6. Your garden is beautiful! My garden has been wonderful and yet I didn't get all my starts in the ground. I had to give up due to pain and my hubs was kinda finished with doing more garden beds. Sorry to hear about Jeremiah and I feel your pain about insurance issues. I have been trying for 3 weeks getting into an Oncologist. So frustrating.

  7. I pray the torn bicep is not bad since he caught it early. My hubby, also a lefty, let is go for over a year. Had to have surgery and recovery is slower than a torn rotor cuff surgery. Praying for you all!

  8. Can you help me out as a newer still timid to go big, but we are going to start a 1000sq ft raised bed garden from a 100sq ft garden and I am so nervous. What do you feed your tomatoes or veggies in general?

  9. Prayers going up for Miah! Hav8ng a low battery for the last couple of days and I'm ok with it.
Thank you for reminding us that the garden doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful and productive.
    Blessings

  10. Almost jumped out of my skin when I saw a new post from you! Brings a smile to my face. Thanks for all you do! Love you muchly! Sherridan

  12. I’m praying for Jeremiah to get well soon and the situation not be so bad that he needs surgery.
And I just wanted to share something with you that for me is a dream come true. I am about to turn 66 years old and all my life. I have dreamed about cooking fabulous meals with fresh herbs that I grew myself. Almost every year I order seeds and I order plants and I put them in my garden And some evil thing happens whether it’s bugs too much heat I forgot to water I got sick and didn’t take care of them. They always die before I can harvest them and I just have to deal with store-bought herbs for my gourmet cooking. Jessica, I am making shrimp scampi right now With Italian parsley, lemon thyme, fresh basil, Greek and Italian oregano and rosemary, and I grew them all myself and they’re all healthy and they’re all flourishing and I just went out and did my very first harvest of my herbs in my entire lifetime and I’m so happy that I’m crying And taking videos of cutting up the herbs and taking photographs of the middle arranged in a little piles on the plate ready to put into the shrimp scampi! I can’t tell you how many times in 60 years that I have failed and given up and started again and failed and given up and started again, but I finally did it Jessica and you have been my inspiration to keep trying even when things go wrong, even when the bugs get on my tomatoes or whatever and I finally got my dream come true and I thank you for teaching me an inspiring me!

  13. I am starting to get blushed tomatoes. Am I happy? You bet. This is the season that makes my heart skip a beat. I did take one blush tomato off my plant and wouldn't you know, it had ant damage. Now I wish I hadn't thrown away. Maybe could have cut that damage away. But others are blushing and I know it will be soon. I love tomatoes.

  14. My husband tore his bicep muscle at work last October and it has been a long slow road to recovery. He was on light duty for a long long time and was doing physio twice a week for months. They were throwing around surgery but he was able to get it better enough on his own that he avoided that. But he was very very sore and cranky for a while because of his handicaps.
Make sure Miah takes it easy as long as he needs and keeps on top of his meds. It's probably going to be frustrating for you both <3

  15. Love ,love your videos❤️ Prayers for you and yours🙏🏻. Where did you get your harvest basket?

  16. I pray it's not his bicep. I've broken bones, given birth , female removals, and I would add all 9 surgeries together and the torn out bicep, relocated to the front of my shoulder is Bi far THE WORST EVER. And I'm not a wimp. I will PRAY it's not.🙏🙏🙏🙏

  17. Oh nooooo. A pocket omlet. I have a bad habit of putting eggs in my pocket. Luckily, that has not happened to me….yet. *Knocking on wood, throwing salt over my shoulder*. Seriously, sounds like you are in the weeds when it comes to unplanned and unwanted things popping up. Sending healing vibes and prayers Jeremiah's way.
