For indoor plants, generally you go by root ball size not the foliage. The signs you’re ready to move up are roots growing and circling around drainage hole, drying out quicker than expected or stunted growth. If your answer is yes to any of those then you’re ok to move up the next size (up to 2 inches bigger) 😊

So im new to the hobby, and maybe this is going to be a stupid question. So what would happen if let’s say it’s in a 6″ pot and instead of going to an 8″ I put it in a 10″ pot?
