I’ve have my calathea for almost a year now. She is usually vibrant and perky! I finally got some new growth from her, so I used liquid fertilizer to help the new leaf come along. I added the liquid fertilizer to the water during her last bottom water. After about a week or so, she became so droopy and curled and I’m worried about her 🥺 what did I do wrong??
She lives on my kitchen table with very low sunlight and sits on top of a tray of pebbles and water for humidity. The only thing I changed was fertilizing for the first time 🙁

How dry is her soil right now and is the weather where you live warmer/hotter than it’s been earlier during this year? Plants, just like humans, need more water when it’s warmer weather.
hej. did you had those yellowing tips before you gave her nutrients? If not, it could be a sign that you gave her too much. The inward curling can be a sign of too much heat, low humidity or thirst. I would recommend to check the soil if its still moist, if not – water slowly until you get some runoff. Then let her sit for 2-3 min out of the runoff. Then water her again slowly. Let her not sit in runoff water this time and check for your room humidity levels. The hotter it gets, the more humidity the plants need. Im sure she can be saved! <3
This is what mine do when they are under watered but it could be stress from over nutrients I suppose? If you measured correctly probably not.
This actually looks like under watering but always make sure you start with less fert than recommended. They can be sensitive. You can slowly build up it over time if you see it’s doing well.
Because, Maranta leuconeura, that’s why.
