This tree started as a small topiary on sale from a big box grocery store and I've had it for about 6 years now. Each spring, it gets cut back hard and taken outside for the summer. I get it to bloom by putting it in a room with a lot of natural life and make sure it gets no artificial light at night. It then gets moved into the living room for the holidays so we can enjoy the color.

Longest I’ve kept one is about 2-3 years, never knew they could tree like that. I’ve never cut them back though. Any pics of how hard you cut it back?
Every xmas I try to get the for-free Poinsettias that I might get off craigslist but they never survive! There is also a 20 foot tall Poinsettia tree near me. It’s so freaking cool
