  1. I absolutely love what she has done with her back garden. This is the definition of making the best with the space you have. I also love how relatable the size of this garden is, the views of other homes and I really enjoy her silly personality.

  2. Aaron, I notice Monica's fountain has it's holes in the bowl so it does not slip over the edge. Could hole be drilled in the fountains Laura has had issues with?

  3. That honeysuckle screen is awesome! How do you prune it to get it to be lush and full at the bottom?

  4. Wow! Just love how Monica and Nick have filled in this beautiful space to make it their very own – thanks for sharing!

  5. Wow, what progress! And I must say, Monica wasn’t kidding when she said she likes spicy food 🌶️ 🥵 😂!!

  6. Just adore your sweet yard and garden, Monica!! Thank you so much for sharing with us! Smiles and blessings…

  7. Perfect small garden love it. Just a question why did you girls not discuss the Marigolds planted beside the Chilly plants do not you value those flowers too or because of the bright yellow and Orange color you do not like them! Marigold are mosquito repellents in the Garden.

  8. Monica's garden is beautiful! I grew up hearing peony the way you originally said it Pee-Oh-knee. It wasn't until recently I heard it the other way.

  9. The one flower that is the staple of vegetable and herb gardens yet not even one mention of it and it stands out so beautifully. Don't be disheartened Marigolds I saw you there serving your purpose with such grace and poise.

  10. To be so small, every area felt like its own little hidden nook & secret garden. It”s impossible to count the number of “rooms” in this garden. I LOVE it!

  11. Do you leave the peach trees out all winter and the blueberries that are in containers ? and if so do you think they did not flower for fruit because they are in containers?

  12. OK, Monica, we have to be able to see that awesome trellis that your husband built! That’s what I was looking forward to. Everything looks so beautiful!

  13. You and Monica look so alike. You walk the same, stand the same are about the same size too. Lucky you and Monica to be such close sisters.

  14. Beautiful! I've heard plants can take more sun than we think if their roots are shaded, say by other plants. Maybe it's your fence shading your Japanese maple's feet? Japanese Andromeda is evergreen in my Philly PA z7.

  15. I wish I had a sister to compare gardening notes with.
The two of you together & your excitement on talking about plants & birds just an informative enjoyable watch.
I need to watch the original video to see
How you worked the soil. My garden is no where near this lush after 3 years.
    Well done ladies

  16. Laura, have you considered drilling holes in your splashing ball by the kitchen door so that it functions like this lovely fountain?

  17. Monica and Nick have a beautiful garden!! Thank you for the tour. When we lived in Vancouver,BC wehad many Lily of the Valley bushes in our front garden. They grew to be very tall and full (5’x5’). Every spring the new growth was a gorgeous red. The blossoms were so sweet and the bees just loved these bushes. Our two little girls called them “bee bush”. We now live in Newfoundland. The zones are different. So we don’t see Lily of the Valley bushes here. Hope you enjoyed your evening.

  18. Great, it looks beautiful. Wish you stayed near us. I could get some training on gardening. Plants and the combination with other plants go with them, I need to learn all those. Learning new words. I call Peony, have a good collection of them. Best wishes.

  19. I love Monica’s little secret garden. Your design was perfect. I never would have thought you could fit that much in a small space. Great job. Gayle

  20. That stone work is incredible! Gotta give credit to the talented people who did such a beautiful job.

  21. Monica’s yard is wonderful. My garden is smaller, and her plant choices are fantastic. She’s given me great ideas. How do you get rid of the moles? My ground phlox is so leggy. How did she keep it tight? How do you keep Veronica from getting too tight? Mine strangled itself out even though I left plenty of room to grow. You are a wonderful example of adult sisters!
