Hey people I’m new to lawn care and cannot seed or Sod along the house. We installed all new sod and it all died along the house, we are getting hot temps with lots of rain. I did the proper ground fertilization and it all looks good beside the area to the right. Looking for tips or tricks if any of you guys had any problems like this. I water around 3x a week in the cool evenings. Thanks!

You sure it’s not the dog?
You’re watering is probably wrong , 3x a week means nothing, how many inches of water are you putting down when you’re watering?
Probably dog piss. Does the dog usually walk in that area before relieving himself?
Probably the dog urine. Female seem to have more intense nitrogen in their urine. Seeing that there is no pattern to the various spots, that would be my experienced guess.
The culprit is literally in the photo 😂
For me I have slightly reflective siding. It burns the grass for me. I have to water next to the house a bit more
You literally posted a picture of the cause
Yes male dog urine does kill the grass. I have a male German shepherd. Watering the area where he goes right a way helps
It’s likely the dog given the spots, but I would take a long screwdriver and push it into the soil to see if you have rocks or, more likely, concrete debris from when the house was built.
guy it’s just in front of you. apply grass dog enzime and water more often
Get rid of the dog for a few months and see if it improves.
Dog pee.
I’d say it’s the fella there in the pic. I had freshly seeded rye that was doing great and neighbors dog peed in it and went from beautiful green to bleached yellow in 24 hours.
What? no picture of the house wall. Reflections off the siding or windows can burn the grass. Maybe not your case, but I had some windows where the sheets were almost touching in the center due to pressure changes. The windows became lenses, focusing the sun on the grass. As the sun moved, it would make line like dry patterns on the grass.
Hiding in plain sight.
Does that side of the house have gutters and/or does the roof slope to that side?
