Just picked up this new enclosure recommendation on plants and where to get them? and it looks like the side of the cork board is starting to peel is there any way to save it? Also smells like mildew.
If it smells like mildew that’s your first issue. Then, the peeling background, then plants.
I honestly don’t bother with backgrounds with previous issues such as mold and peeling. It’s not worth it.
If you really want this background, empty and rinse it very well. Let it air out and smell again. Then decide if you need to use vinegar and take the time to neutralize, rinse and air it out again before proceeding.
Or, throw away the background and make a new one.
