A seven-mile backup is slowing northbound traffic on the Garden State Parkway through Monmouth County on June 29.
Cars leaving the Jersey Shore should expect heavy delays in the northbound local lanes between mile markers 109 and 116, according to the traffic website 511nj.org.
The backup is related to an overturned vehicle north of the PNC Bank Arts Center that has resulted in the closure of the two left lanes, according to traffic authorities. Rubbernecking is leading to additional delays in the northbound express lanes.
