I have small caterpillars taking out some of my herbs. I was gifted a pineapple mint that was just taking off… luckily I was propagating a stem in the house and I'm on the journey of restoring it.

Put crushed (not powdered) egg shells on top of the soil all around the plant but not touching the stalk. It gives nutrients to your plants and cuts the soft underbelly of the worms, so they won't come around. Been doing this for years and have never had a worm since!
He would be chicken food around here.
