Because of the frequent advice to have at least a foot between the GH roof and the shade cloth, I’ve been figuring on making a frame like yours, to let the breezes wipe all that heat away. But then today, I began to wonder, maybe that advice doesn’t apply to mesh that includes a lot of open space. I couldn’t tell if yours is a mesh or a continuous, partially translucent sheet.

I have a slightly smaller version of the one you have, but rather than use shade cloth I just left off two poly panels above the doors. In the fall I’ll slide them in. Has worked perfectly through our 90+ heatwave so far.

If heat is your problem, I don’t see a window or vent in the roof to let it actually escape. It seems to me it’ll just be trapped in the roof. Those windows won’t let it escape….unless of course it’s on the back side

Looks alot like what I’ve been planning doing. We just received [this](https://www.bootstrapfarmer.com/collections/shade-cloth/products/aluminum-shade-cloth) shade cloth for our new [greenhouse](https://canopia.com/product/victory-orangery-10-ft-x-12-ft-greenhouse-kit/?attribute_structure-color=grey&attribute_glazing=hybrid).
