Water water water and also keep picking the leaves for nom nom nom, my store basil keeps trying to keep up with how fast I love eating her hehe. This is not a plant to grow to maturity, eat up while you can since it eventually does just die.

Repot into richer soil than the super-fast-draining stuff it comes in. Everyone swears by their own mix but nearly anything is better than what’s it’s in when you buy one.

the best basil plant we ever had was out on the deck, in soil turned to mud that was underwater 80% of the time from all the rain we got. It’s such a wild difference from other plants i’m used to
