I had no idea the dollar store carried stackable planters, but as soon as I spotted them, I knew exactly what I wanted to plant. My all time favorite, begonias! I always find great deals on them in the clearance section at Lowe’s.
These planters turned out so beautiful! I highly recommend adding drainage holes using a heated wire hanger. The plastic is pretty thin, and if you’re not careful, you might crack the bottom. But overall, this was such a fun, affordable project, perfect for adding charm to any outdoor space!
And exciting news, we finally started building our raised garden beds! I can’t wait to start growing our own produce right in the backyard. Stay tuned for that!

when I found out that the dollar store had stackable planters I literally bolted there Honestly you guys I don’t know what is going on Every time I’ve been going to Lowe’s I’ve been finding such good sale plants So I did pick up these bagonas and they are perfectly in these nursery pots Really good for this project So honestly you guys my drill really messed up the bottom of these planters I would just recommend heating up a wire hanger and just sticking the wire hanger through the plastic because the plastic is really thin Once adding my soil in I did add two plants to each corner of the planter because I wanted it to be nice and full once they grew in So I ended up using eight planters because my other two planters were really badly damaged at the bottom and I wasn’t able to use them But it’s completely okay because I actually like the height of them They look really cute next to our other beonia plant Now all is left is just to give the plants some plant food And I honestly am so pleased on how they look They still have a little more blooming to do but they look so cute on the deck I really like these and they’ve been holding up really well So I highly would recommend trying this affordable project But stay tuned you guys We finally started doing our raised beds and they are looking so

Wow, it looks great. I can't wait to see what you do with your raised bed project. You are so creative.
❤❤❤❤ way cute
It's not the drill. It's the way you're using it. There are perforated holes already at the bottom. Use a drill bit slightly smaller than the hole that's already there and you shouldn't have a problem. I've used these planters many times and never saw the results you got. You can also use a lighter to heat the drill bit before drilling the holes. It doesn't have to be super hot, just hot enough to melt the plastic enough to penetrate the surface. I've never had to heat the bits, but I've also been using power tools for over 30 years. If you're less comfortable with using power tools, I would heat the bits. Also check to make sure your drill isn't turned up too high. You're not going through wood so make sure it's at the slowest setting. Try these tips on a planter that has already been cracked. Perfect your technique and then use it on a new one. I hope this helps.
What a great low cost project idea. I don’t have a drill so I might make the hole in the bottom by heating a metal kabob skewer and melting through the hole spot in the plastic. When planting using potting soil, you might try moistening the soil first and then using it to report starters. That way you can be sure every bit will get wet.
I bought a ton of these and my drill did just fine. You just don’t press down on them.
I want some of those for my craft supplies!!!
Love this!!! Just followed
Get yourself a small soldering iron and everything is a planter. 😅happy gardening!
You don’t need heat or a drill just poke the already existing covered holes with a pencil and you will be fine that’s how I did it on mines
You grow girl ❤
Looks beautiful ❤
Soldering iron works great&quickly to make holes in large & smaller resin pots & even quicker w/plastic plates, bowls, etc. Inexpensive @Hobby Lobby, Walmart,Home Depot.😊
Hi, I bought these stackers at dollar tree and I didn't know they were even stackers thank you for sharing this now I know to buy the other ones 🌷🌸🌺💐🌹🪷
What was the seamist blue mat?
Good for flowers but be cautious about planting anything edible, I’ve never been able to find the triangle to know if these are food safe plastics.✌️
I have these planters.
Glue them together first
