A primary school won a gardening competition after its garden was previously vandalised.
Winton Primary School won Bournemouth in Bloom’s school gardening competition at the awards event on Wednesday, June 25, at the Kinson Community Centre.
This was attended by Bournemouth‘s deputy mayor, councillor George Farquhar.
This year’s theme was sensory garden and 27 schools entered.

Winton Primary School was awarded first place for its “fantastic” garden.
Paul Keeley worked with the children at the school to create a “wonderful” space for everyone to enjoy.
In the past, Winton Primary’s garden has achieved second and third places and one year had to pull out because its garden was vandalised.
A spokesperson said: “The standard was extremely high and what a challenge it was to judge but in the end, Winton Primary School took the top prize with their fantastic garden.”
